2000 - Forty-seven golfers put the new Pro V1 golf ball in play at the Invensys Classic in Las Vegas the first week it is available for competition.

The "100 Player March” commences as prototype Pro V1 golf balls are sampled with over 100 Titleist players on the PGA Tour.

Ball Plant 3, a 140,000 state-of-the-art manufacturing facility located in New Bedford begins production.

1999 - We launch Titleist Ball Fitting interactive cd-roms, online Ball Fitting and in-shop golf ball analyzers.

1994 - Titleist Professional is introduced as the first tour-played urethane-covered golf ball.

1993 - The liquid-filled center wound Tour Balata golf ball becomes the most played ball on Tour and among competitive players.

1990 - Ball Plant 2 opens in New Bedford, Mass., a 114,000 square ft. state-of-the art manufacturing facility dedicated to the production of solid technology golf balls.

1987 - The most trusted ball in golf reaches a manufacturing milestone of 100 million golf balls.

1983 - New 384 Tour revolutionizes golf ball design and begins a 7-year success story on tour.

1979 - Titleist Trajectory system for golf balls is introduced and advances Titleist's golf ball fitting capabilities.

1975 - The Pro Trajectory is introduced with new aerodynamics designed for high speed, high speed, high spin players.

1974 - Acushnet Golf Center (AGC) is created as the ultimate R&D indoor test lab, measuring ball speed, launch angle, spin rate, clubhead speed, swing path and angle of attack.

The Titleist DT is introduced as the longest wound Surlyn® golf ball off the tee.

1973 - A breakthrough in aerodynamics is introduced with the new icosahedron dimple design.

1968 - We are first in the industry to develop its own hobbing process and dimple molds.

1965 - We conduct wind tunnel testing and computer analysis to evaluate dimple shapes and configurations for the most efficient blend between lift and drag.

1964 - An R&D team is formed to study golf ball aerodynamics.

1958 - Major paint process improvements are made that significantly enhance golf ball quality and durability.

1954 - Hurricane Carol strikes the coast and floods the Titleist Ball Plant. Over 600 associates join together to move equipment and prevent catastrophic damage.

We are the first to x-ray every golf ball and freeze liquid centers to ensure they stay perfectly round during the winding process.
